Start Here

Hey y’all!

I figured I would start out by letting you know who I am and what I am all about. My name is Marquita Qweet (my nickname Qweet helps with the pronunciation of my first name). I’m a southern girl born and raised, but I don’t eat rice. (I figured I would get that out the way immediately!) Moving along, I have a beautiful daughter that gives me a run for my money most days, but I wouldn’t trade her for the world. I am a lifelong educator, I say lifelong because I’m ALWAYS willing to put in the work to teach lessons. I’m also a basketball enthusiast. I grew up playing basketball and have never lost my love for the game. Finally, I’m your favorite red velvet cake baker!!! I take pride in my work and open up shop occasionally to satisfy a sweet tooth near you. 

Here I post about some of my favorite topics: parenting, gardening, and home updates. Occasionally, I’ll have posts about mental health, current events, and other topics that are near to my heart.
